Covid Protocols

Students/Faculty/Staff who test positive for COVID-19 must remain home and isolate for five days regardless of vaccination Students/Faculty/Staff who test positive for COVID must remain home and isolate for 5 days, regardless of their vaccination status, history of any previous infection, or lack of symptoms.

Anyone with symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection, regardless of vaccination status or previous infection, should isolate and test for COVID-19.

Students/Faculty/Staff with COVID-19 may end their isolation after Day 5 if both of the following criteria are met: no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, and symptoms are not present or mild and improving. It is strongly recommended that an individual test negative for COVID-19 prior to ending the isolation period.

Anyone who continues to have symptoms of COVID-19 that are not improving should continue to isolate until their symptoms are improving.

Masking

Masking of the class is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged to keep the spread to a minimum. Masking is now the personal preference of the students and parents.

Testing

Testing of the class in not mandatory, but strongly encouraged that your child get tested, preferably within 3 to 5 days after the last date of exposure.

Symptoms

Monitor your health for 10 days. If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, remain at home and test immediately. If you test positive for COVID-19, please isolate at home following “Home Isolation Instructions for COVID-19” (ph.lacounty.gov/covidisolation) and notify us. When you notify us, we can take additional steps to keep our school community safe.

Ensuring that you and our educational environment are safe is of greatest importance to us. For additional questions about Coronavirus in Los Angeles County, please visit the LA County Department of Public Health coronavirus webpage at ph.lacounty.gov/coronavirus.
