Students/Faculty/Staff who test positive for COVID-19 must remain home and isolate for five days regardless of vaccination Students/Faculty/Staff who test positive for COVID must remain home and isolate for 5 days, regardless of their vaccination status, history of any previous infection, or lack of symptoms.
Anyone with symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection, regardless of vaccination status or previous infection, should isolate and test for COVID-19.
Students/Faculty/Staff with COVID-19 may end their isolation after Day 5 if both of the following criteria are met: no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, and symptoms are not present or mild and improving. It is strongly recommended that an individual test negative for COVID-19 prior to ending the isolation period.
Anyone who continues to have symptoms of COVID-19 that are not improving should continue to isolate until their symptoms are improving.
Masking
Masking of the class is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged to keep the spread to a minimum. Masking is now the personal preference of the students and parents.
Testing
Testing of the class in not mandatory, but strongly encouraged that your child get tested, preferably within 3 to 5 days after the last date of exposure.
Symptoms
Monitor your health for 10 days. If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, remain at home and test immediately. If you test positive for COVID-19, please isolate at home following “Home Isolation Instructions for COVID-19” (ph.lacounty.gov/covidisolation) and notify us. When you notify us, we can take additional steps to keep our school community safe.
