About Our School

Over 90 Years of Faith, Excellence, and Fellowship

Where Generations Belong

For over 90 years, St. Paul the Apostle School has been a cornerstone of the Los Angeles westside community. Founded in 1935 under the guidance of the Paulist Fathers and in partnership with the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, our DK through 8th grade co-ed Catholic school welcomes students of all races, backgrounds, and faiths.

Located at the corner of Selby and Ohio Avenues, St. Paul is more than a place of learning; it is a community where children discover their gifts, students grow in faith and character, and families build friendships that last a lifetime.

‘Will My Family Belong Here?’

We understand that choosing a Catholic school when you are not Catholic can feel uncertain. But at St. Paul, our doors—and our hearts—are truly open. Here is what one family discovered:

“As a Muslim family, we hadn’t initially considered SPA—we assumed it might not be the right fit. But after our local public school wasn’t meeting our son’s needs, a friend encouraged us to tour.

From the moment we stepped on campus, everything changed. We felt welcomed, seen, and reassured. The teachers were loving and deeply invested, and the community embraced our religion and cultural background with genuine warmth. Today, our son is thriving at SPA. He comes home excited about his day, supported by teachers who bring out his best and surrounded by families who have quickly become friends. We’re so grateful we took that tour—we haven’t looked back since.”
