    • I can make a compass and understand that the North Pole and the South Pole act like magnets.  Experiment.

    • I can understand why I make good choices and bad choices.
    • Homework: Discuss this lesson with parents at home.

    • BOOK REPORT
      • ORAL BOOK REPORT FOR FEBRUARY (information may be found online or WorldBook)
      • Students are doing research on the person they chose for Black History Month. They must speak in CHARACTER in the front of the class. They may have notes at their side to help them if they get lost or nervous.  We have begun the note taking in the LA spotted and are using note cards as well.  They should be able to talk about their person, confidently, for 1-2 minutes. They can use a hat or scarf to help them “get into character.”
      • Sign up paper is posted for when to present. Please ask them who they chose and help them with the note cards. They should practice at home with your help.
      • LOOKING FOR: Eye contact, speaking in a loud, confident voice, knowledge of the material and use expression.
    • Spelling Words: (vowel + r) Write each word 5x each and write each word in a sentence.

TUESDAY 2/8/22

    • I can explore the best way to multiply by 9.  Teacher directed.  No textbook needed.  Handout given.
  • SCIENCE
    • I can find the North Side of a magnet without seeing the Poles.  Experiment.
  • RELIGION
    • I can review for the test on Thursday.  I can make Valentine Cards for Nazareth House residents.
  • LANGUAGE ARTS
    • Word of the Day: sprint
    • Listen to a Humorous Video which tells an entertaining story in visual and audio form “Bend It Like Bianca”
