Teacher’s Corner

We are following our regular master schedule (attached below and posted on PSL). There were some changes to Friday’s schedule, so please take a look. Note that Friday’s snack is from 9:45-10am – classes start again at 10am unless you have a break. Optional Enrichment classes use the whole group zoom link. Schedules specific to each homeroom have also been created and are attached to this email as well.  We created two options so that your family can choose the one that works the best for you.  All schedules have embedded zoom links so that students can click directly on the link to join the appropriate Zoom. We have also included visual icons that are embedded with the Zoom links to make it easier for you and your kindergarteners!
Please take some time this weekend to show the schedules to your child.  It is our hope that with some initial adult guidance and continued student practice, a routine will develop.  The goal is for all children to be able to independently move from class to class without assistance.

Tech Issues

If you are experiencing tech issues, please email helpdesk@sp-apostle.org for assistance (PSL, Seesaw, Classlink, etc).

Mystery Readers Wanted!

Surprise our students by being a “Mystery Reader” this year in our classroom. All Parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives, or other family members/special people are welcome to be our “Mystery Reader”! Students LOVE having someone they know come visit their classroom to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class. Mystery readers must bring a book or two from home. Each Friday slot can have 2 readers, one from 8:45 – 9:00 and another from 9:00-9:15. Please review the available time slots on our signup genius page found on PSL. Thank you in advance!

Adventures with Jesus

Each week, two students will be selected to embark on Adventures with Jesus! Every student received a laminated Jesus in their Kinder supply bag. If you cannot find yours, please email your homeroom teacher. When students are selected, their special job will be to document any fun things that they do with Jesus throughout the week. Then, students will have the opportunity to report back to the class and share all about their adventures with Jesus. Some things you can do with Jesus are: reading, going on walks, going on bike rides, etc. We ask that students document a few of their favorite things they have done with Jesus by drawing pictures, writing about their experience, taking photos, etc. Be creative and have fun! We look forward to hearing all about your Adventures with Jesus!
