Dear Parents,
The 7th grade students have been granted an amazing opportunity to take a school-approved, overnight field trip to Catalina Island on November 1st – 3rd. You may wish to visit the camp’s website. If for any reason your child will not be attending, please notify your homeroom teacher as soon as possible.
Students will travel by school bus on Monday, November 1st, and need to arrive at school by 6:30 a.m. We will depart from St. Paul the Apostle, take a bus to Terminal Island, and take a ferry to Catalina Island. They will return in the afternoon on Wednesday, November 3rd, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Room parents will be contacted if arrival time is changed.
As in past years the Sr. Stella Foundation has generously offered to fund a portion of the trip. Their donation helps to offset the cost of the trip from $300 to $220. We are so grateful for their donation.
Please submit your payment of $220, made payable to Saint Paul the Apostle School, at your earliest convenience. This cost includes all meals, lodging, transportation, and insurance. If you are interested and able to sponsor a student in 7th grade, please email Mayora Hiney. Similarly, if you need financial assistance, please contact Mayora as well.
This is sure to be a memorable and exciting experience for your child.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you for your support in making this possible.
Sincerely,
Kyla Garibaldi (7A homeroom teacher)
Eric Santos (7B homeroom teacher)
Michael Doreza Dimaya (7th grade science teacher)
