"Faith is not believing that God
can. It is knowing that God will."

From the Desk of Sister Stella Maria, Principal:
We wish all of our families a most restful
and relaxing summer. May each of you find some time to have
a change of pace to refresh and to have time to enjoy each
member of your family. We have worked hard in school to
educate your children on the super importance of Sunday
liturgy. Please support us by participating each Sunday
in liturgy. Wherever you are on vacation you will always
find, with a little effort, a Catholic Church.
Our school office hours during the entire summer will be
from 8:45 --- 3:30 each day. As you know the transformer
and all that goes with it will take place all day every
day until completed. Drive carefully on and off campus while
the work is going on. You will be able to communicate with
us during the installation of the transformer because when
the power is down we will use a generator. If you have difficulty
getting through, please be patient and try again.
My schedule for the summer is"

.A story tells of two friends who were walking
through the desert
During some point of the journey they had an argument,
And one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt,
But with out saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis,
Where they decided to take a bath.
The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started
drowning,
But the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a
stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked
him,
"After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you
write on a stone. Why?"
The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we
should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness
can erase it away
But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave
it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND
AND TO CARVE YOUR BLESSINGS IN STONE.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
An hour to appreciate them,
A day to love them,
But then an entire life to forget them.
Do not value the THINGS you have in your life.
Value WHO you have in your life!

Weekly
Readings/Reflections
June 19, 2005
Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Psalm: Sunday 28
Reading I
Jer 20:10-13
Jeremiah said:
"I hear the whisperings of many:
'Terror on every side!
Denounce! let us denounce him!'
All those who were my friends
are on the watch for any misstep of mine.
'Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail,
and take our vengeance on him.'
But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion:
my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph.
In their failure they will be put to utter shame,
to lasting, unforgettable confusion.
O LORD of hosts, you who test the just,
who probe mind and heart,
let me witness the vengeance you take on them,
for to you I have entrusted my cause.
Sing to the LORD,
praise the LORD,
for he has rescued the life of the poor
from the power of the wicked!"
Reading II
Rom 5:12-15
Brothers and sisters:
Through one man sin entered the world,
and through sin, death,
and thus death came to all men, inasmuch as all sinned
--
for up to the time of the law, sin was in the world,
though sin is not accounted when there is no law.
But death reigned from Adam to Moses,
even over those who did not sin
after the pattern of the trespass of Adam,
who is the type of the one who was to come.
But the gift is not like the transgression.
For if by the transgression of the one the many died,
how much more did the grace of God
and the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ
overflow for the many.
Gospel
Mt 10:26-33
Jesus said to the Twelve:
"Fear no one.
Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed,
nor secret that will not be known.
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light;
what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul;
rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy
both soul and body in Gehenna.
Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?
Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's
knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Everyone who acknowledges me before others
I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.
But whoever denies me before others,
I will deny before my heavenly Father."
